SCCPSS Back to School Expo, July 20, @ Savannah Civic Center
Savannah-Chatham County Public School students head back to class on Thursday, August 1, 2024. To make certain our families have all the information they need to prepare, SCCPSS will host a Back to School Expo at the Savannah Civic Center on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10AM- 3PM. Free & open to the public.
At the Expo, staff will be available to help families with anything they might need for back-to-school readiness, including transportation, nutrition and athletics. Registration assistance will be available for families who have moved here recently or have changed residences. Please bring your proof of residency.
There will be student organizations and community partners in attendance. In addition, representatives from each of the district’s schools will be on site to provide supply lists and open house schedules.
Don’t miss this fun and exciting kick-off to the new school year. Admission is free and translators will be available. We hope to see you there!

Back to School Block Rock, July 27, @ Savannah Civic Center
The Front Porch presents the 4th annual “Back to School BLOCK ROCK” on July 27th, from 4-6PM at the Civic Center in Savannah, GA.
This event will feature giveaways, prizes, and school supplies from over 30 community partners.
Special guests include Davy the Ghost Pirate, Darryl Anderson, and The Fabulous Equinox Krewe! Event attendees will also receive free dinner in an air-conditioned space.
Free & open to the public.
